The security Department wins the Gangkyi Basketball Tournament

Dharamshala, 3rd May: The players of the Security Department, who won the final match of the week-long inter-office basketball tournament at gangkyi basketball, chose to donate the victory prize of Rs. 2500/- to the victims of the violent quake that hit Kyegudo, Kham region in eastern Tibet.

The match was being played for the last few weeks between groups primarily consisting of different departments of CTA and various NGOs in and around Dharamshala.

Two-time World Cup winner Ronaldo has announced he will retire from professional football at the end of next year.

The Brazilian, regarded as one of the best footballers ever, has spent most of his career in Europe but will end it with Corinthians in his homeland.

"I've already made up my mind - these will be my last two," said the striker.

Ronaldo, 33, has scored 62 goals in 97 appearances for Brazil and hopes to be in squad for this summer's World Cup.

World Cup organizers want role for injured Beckham

JOHANNESBURG (AP) - World Cup organizers will talk to David Beckham about having a role at the tournament's opening ceremony.

Organizing committee chief executive Danny Jordaan told The Associated Press on Thursday there have already been indications that Beckham will travel to South Africa with England's squad, even though he has been ruled out of playing because of a torn Achilles' tendon.

Lance Armstrong to Race in Tour of Luxembourg

Radio Shack cyclist Lance Armstrong, who crashed out of the Tour of California and needed multiple stitches to repair his injuries, will be back in competition next week in the Tour of Belgium, continuing his preparation for his attempt at an eighth victory in the Tour de France.
